Our philosophy

"A great wine always starts with a great grape.

It is the quality of the vintage that determines the success of a wine, which is no more than a pure, simple expression of the in-depth nature of the plot."

Production

At Alto de Inazares, we like to create river wines,* which, however much you may consume and however many crops are grown, will never taste the same as each other since every bottle, in each vintage, has a different story to tell.

*A term coined by J. Gómez Pallarés in his book “Vinos naturales de España”.

The property

Situated at an altitude of 1,373 m.a.s.l., the 2.88-ha property, which runs around the hill of El Altico situated at the axis of the valley that allows access to Inazares, is made up eight rural estates. The grapevine is selected as a function of the various slopes, soil structures, and orientations.

The vineyard

With a commitment to our philosophy, we made our debut in organic agriculture on day one following the doctrine of Rudolf Steiner and his disciple María Thun in the application of cultivation practices.

The fact is that starting with a plot of virgin land, we have completed its first transformation with great respect for the environment, with our intervention from that moment onwards being appropriate and necessary to maintain its natural equilibrium.

The climate

At Inazares, our vines withstand extremely cold and dry conditions that give them spontaneous clarification and refinement.

Located in the foothills of the Subbaetic System, this plot is a climatic island within the Mediterranean climate that characterises the region of Murcia.

Inazares

However, a number of numismatic discoveries bear witness to the presence of Roman civilisation in the area in the 2nd century, and later of Arab civilisation. According to written documents, Inazares was a Berber settlement located in frontier land.
